Very simple. Then, when I did have news I got busy. Two short-notice and short trips in a row. Destination: Orlando. No, not to go to Universal or Disney. Just to drive by and get some work done. I got the chance to have lunch with my borther and that was very nice. :)

Once I got back I was busy at work, at home and with miscellaneous. That usually happens after a trip. And, also got a bad cold. I am better now. Yesterday I went to the doctor. He prescribed antibiotic and a cough syrup. By the way, the syrup gets me high... , so don;t mess up with me.... jk. I just feel like my brain is floating at gravity zero inside my skull, but that is all. Probably a smaller dosis is reccomended in cases like this :?

News: kittens are here and they are the cutest thing. I have been catching up with life and making sure my company has the photos available in the network first of all. That is done now.

How was my trip? Good question. The weather was bad but I got that little crack in the sky at the right time to get good shots. That is one of the benefits of 'having connections in high places" ;)

Hours? Very long. In fact never left the airport. The hotel where I stayed was part of the airport building which was very convenient. I finished shooting on site around 9.30 p.m. on day one, but I did not go to bed until 11.oo p.m. . Email check up and back up files is part of the job also.... Next day I was up a 5.00 a.m., get luggage organized and ready to go for my next round. The A380 was leaving to Japan at 9.30 a.m.

People from Airport Authoriry were great!. Very cooperative and willing to make it work. Even though at first I had a 'probably not' for an answer when I asked to get access to the roof and to the apron at night, they finally work it through. Well, I was a bit insistant.... The photo I am illustrating this note with was taken at 6 a.m. It was windy, cold and raining on and off. Brrrrrrrrr. It does not matter to me if the result is a photo like this one. After being there for about an hour, we went back to the building for some coffee and bisquits. The next spot was the roof!. Great view from there also. The weather again cleared enough for the shots I needed.

I also got a sprained ankle. Ouch!! I don't know if you know but photographers sometimes tempt to walk backwards. It is a good thing I did not fell off the roof. I tripped over the ...-listen to this-... 'fall protection line'. Doesn't that sound absurd? For the first time in my life I could relate to those soccer players that endlessly roll over the ground after a fall. I always thought they were exagerating. I guess it is now time for me to shut up on that. My ankle is healing quite fast. I am surprised. My escort security and co-worker took good care of me. I experience and enjoyed a wheel chair ride on my way back home. I am doing good now. Shots were great, the camera was intact...that is why I sprained of course, I never used my upper extremities to either keep the balance or prevent to hit the ground. I can hardly wait for my next assignment. Not know where and when yet. Cheers!

Paulo

Here is a photo of Paulo . I spent there about 5 days on a business assignment. It was great! It was like being back to Chile in a way. The architecture and streets, the people and food were the same. Fun trip. Great experience.

Well, that was last year. After that, someone in the office had spread the word about my photography, so they decided that it would be a great idea to renew all marketing materials and that I would be the best to send and do all the photos. Great! I had the cnahce to be in Panama, Orlando, Detroit, Houston, San Angelo and Ontario in a four-month period. And, for just a bit, I missed Cancun and Vancouver. Well, but not for very long. My supervisor came today and asked: Hey, we have an A380 (this is a huge new type of aircraft) landing tomorrow in Vancouver. Do you think you can flight tomorrow? We want you to do the photos. Cough, cough, cough.... think fast Paulina: board the dog, get house settled for the next 3 days, let Paulo know and coordinate whatever needs to be coordinated, see if I can rent the lens I love the most for aiport shots, no meetings in the horizon, no dates, and no pendings. - Yes, I can :) ...I did not know for sure but go to Vancouver to have so much fun shooting the biggest airplane in the world and getting paid for it...how could I refuse that?

I am leaving tomorrow morning comimng back in 2 days. I already know that is going to be looong hours as usual and since the moment I arrive. But I love it! Am I going to have access to internet to send you photos and tell you how it is going. Yes!. Am I going to do it: Heck no! I won't have time. We will catch up once I am back.

I have illustrated this note with a photo I got in Houston. Just in case you wonder....Yes, I pushed the envelope to get this shot. I am grateful that my escort was nice and let me cross the actual yellow line on the apron. Ooops! Great shot anyways.

I posted another two aiport shots I did for myself.

<category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='2007 Copyright. We are not there with the purpose of recruiting members for the Christian Fellowship. We are there with the purpose of bringing comfort and hope. We bring our own life experience and testimonies. All of us have a cross we carry around: painful experience(s) in life that hurt us to the bone. In this sense, being inside or outside of a prison does not make us different from each other. This is the first lesson I learned here. When life bites us, we can choose to feel sorry for ourselves, or we can chose to feed our own resentment for the rest of our lives. Growing from that experience, finding our purpose in life and finding a compassionate God is also an option. Sometimes, healing and sharing your pain with others may help others. Sometimes listening to those in pain may help us to be prepared for a hard time we have not lived yet.

From my heart: If you have ever run into agonizing pain and don't know what the heck to do with it, try serving others. It is healing, rewarding for the spirit and it is worth the try.

God Bless.
